Radha D.S. Kulkarni focuses on defending employers in a broad range of class, collective, and representative action and single plaintiff employment litigation matters. She has extensive experience litigating California wage-hour actions involving employee exemption and independent contractor misclassification claims, meal and rest break violations, failure to pay overtime and/or minimum wages, off-the-clock work, incorrect pay statements, rounding, expense reimbursement, paid sick leave, waiting-time and other penalties, piece rate, commissions, as well as claims brought pursuant to the California Private Attorneys General Act (“PAGA”). Further, Ms. Kulkarni defends clients against claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under various state and federal laws, including California’s FEHA and has represented clients in matters involving trade secrets and restrictive covenants.

Ms. Kulkarni additionally counsels employers pre and post litigation regarding employment policies and handbooks, reductions in force, disability accommodations, leaves of absence, sexual harassment, misclassification audits, executive compensation, workplace investigations, discipline and termination decisions, and various employment documents (including employment agreements, offer letters, arbitration agreements, and confidentiality and restrictive covenants agreements).  

Ms. Kulkarni also advises on labor and employment matters in corporate transactions, including drafting language for purchase agreements and assessing due diligence materials.

Ms. Kulkarni has represented national and international employers in various industries, including hospitality, cosmetics, retail, manufacturing, warehousing, technology, entertainment, and food industry clients.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Kulkarni worked as an employment attorney in the Labor and Employment practice groups of large multinational law firms and also at one of the largest global employment and labor practice law firms.
