Mikel A. Glavinovich has over 20 years of experience in insurance coverage and complex litigation. Her practice is focused on counseling insurers regarding coverage issues, as well as representing insurers in litigation. Ms. Glavinovich also handles appellate matters, and has appeared before the Bankruptcy Panel for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She began her legal career with Hancock, Rothert & Bunshoft, and was a partner with Kaufman, Dolowich & Voluck in Los Angeles before joining Baute Crochetiere Hartley & Velkei.
Ms. Glavinovich has drafted guidelines for insurers to use in the course of settlement negotiations, as well as policy language for use by national insurance carriers. She is on the board of SHAWL Women’s House (an organization dedicated to Shaping Harbor Area Women’s Lives), and has provided pro bono counsel to the SSI Children’s Coalition, the Alliance for Children’s Rights, FREEPLAY (an organization dedicated to furthering the rights and welfare of Los Angeles dogs and their owners), and the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Domestic Violence Project. Ms. Glavinovich also continues to serve as an attorney proctor for the Redondo Beach Teen Court, and volunteers with Westside German Shepherd Rescue.
