Candice J. Hyon received her J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law
in 2010. During law school, she served as a judicial extern for Justice Ming W. Chin at the
California Supreme Court and for Judge Joseph F. De Vanon at the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Ms. Hyon also served as Staff Editor for the Hastings Business Law Journal and was a teaching
assistant for the Hastings Moot Court Program. Ms. Hyon received her B.A., cum laude, in
Communication Studies with a minor in Political Science, from the University of California Los
Angeles in 2007.
In her current practice, Ms. Hyon specializes in commercial litigation, intellectual property
law, and employment law. These matters involve contract disputes, insurance coverage,
trademark prosecution, management, and infringement litigation, employment discrimination,
and wrongful termination.
Before joining Baute, Crochetiere & Maloney, Ms. Hyon worked as in-house counsel at a
telecommunications company in Southern California.
